The short answer
Custom Pools Utah’s six gunite package configurations currently start at $70,000 or $75,000. Fully custom pools are scoped individually. Final investment can move significantly based on site access, excavation, engineering, utilities, deck area, equipment, finishes, spa and water features.
What moves the price?
Site access
Can standard equipment reach the dig area, or is specialized handling required?
Ground conditions
Rock, unstable soil, groundwater, slope and retaining needs affect excavation and structure.
Size & geometry
Water volume matters, but perimeter, curves, elevations and structural complexity do too.
Deck & landscape
The pool is one part of the outdoor room. Deck area and materials can materially change scope.
Spa & features
Raised spas, waterfalls, slides, caves, ledges, lighting and automation add systems and labor.
Finish selections
Interior finish, waterline tile, coping and equipment choices create a wide quality range.
Package pool or custom pool?
A package works when one of the baseline shapes fits the site and the desired experience. Custom becomes the better value when the architecture, lot, elevations or feature list demand a design that should be solved as a whole.
Known size and shape, streamlined decisions, clear starting price.
Site-led design, integrated features and a project-specific scope.
How to get a more useful first estimate
- Know the build address or ZIP code.
- Choose package, custom or ICF as your likely path.
- List must-have features separately from nice-to-haves.
- Flag access, slope, rock or utility concerns.
- Share target timing and a realistic investment range.
